9th Circ. Reduces Louis Vuitton Trademark Win To $10.8M

Law360, New York (September 12, 2011, 6:56 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday halved Louis Vuitton Malletier SA's $21.6 million damages award in a suit against companies that hosted websites selling counterfeit merchandise, saying a jury should not have hit two defendants with separate penalties for infringing Louis Vuitton's intellectual property.
