Dodd-Frank Provision Adds To Cybersecurity Concerns

Law360, New York (September 14, 2011, 7:00 PM EDT) -- In a congressional hearing on cyberattacks targeting financial information Wednesday, experts were divided on whether a new financial data office created by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act would be especially vulnerable to hackers.

Privacy advocates and witnesses from government and banks testified before the House subcommittee on financial institutions and consumer credit about efforts to build partnerships between government and industry, and between U.S. and international law enforcement, to better fight cybercriminals who threaten America's economy and national security.
