Judge Orders Redo On US Airways' Monopoly Claims

Law360, New York (September 12, 2011, 5:22 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Monday struck US Airways Inc.’s monopolization claims from its heated antitrust and contract fight against ticket distribution company Sabre Holdings Corp., but directed the carrier to rethink its complaint.

In a brief order filed Monday, U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum granted Sabre’s motion to dismiss only as to US Airways’ claims that Sabre has monopolized and conspired to monopolize the travel agent market.
