Judge OKs $9M Deal In JPMorgan Loan Officer OT Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (September 12, 2011, 8:01 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday preliminarily approved JPMorgan Chase Bank NA’s $9 million settlement of a wage-and-hour class action brought by 1,600 current and former mortgage loan officers.

“I think there are a couple things you need to address in the final application, but I’m prepared to conditionally approve the class definition and the settlement,” U.S. District Judge James V. Selna told attorneys for the parties at the Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse in Santa Ana, Calif.
