Judge OKs Talent Management Co.'s Hacking Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (September 14, 2011, 4:48 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Wednesday refused to dismiss talent management firm Roar LLC’s lawsuit against one of its former agents and competitor Crysis Management for purportedly hacking into its computers and stealing trade secrets.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John Shepard Wiley Jr. rejected Crysis’ motion for demurrer on most of Roar’s claims, including an allegation that its ex-agent breached a nondisclosure agreement, saying the management company had filed its lawsuit just in time to avoid the statute of limitations.
