Saudi Food Co. To Pay $13M For Bribing Contractor

Law360, New York (September 16, 2011, 8:25 PM EDT) -- A Saudi Arabian food services company has agreed to pay $13 million to resolve charges filed in Illinois alleging it paid kickbacks to a Kellogg Brown & Root Inc. employee to win military contracts, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.

Tamimi Global Co. Ltd., a KBR subcontractor, admitted to paying bribes and illegal gratuities to a KBR employee and a former U.S. Army sergeant in order to obtain contracts for dining facilities in camps in Kuwait and Iraq.
