Grynberg Takes Eni Enrichment Suit To 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (September 20, 2011, 8:09 PM EDT) -- Oil tycoon Jack J. Grynberg on Tuesday appealed to the Second Circuit a decision holding that Eni SpA did not unfairly profit from information his company gave British Gas about a Kazakhstan oil field, the ever-litigious executive's latest legal gambit.

Grynberg and his companies Grynberg Production Corp. (Texas) Inc., Grynberg Production Corp. (Colorado) Inc. and Pricaspian Development Corp. are challenging an Aug. 24 ruling by U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels that granted Eni summary judgment on an unjust enrichment claim in New York federal court....
