Rapper Jim Jones Accused Of Ripping Off Track

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 9:53 PM EDT) -- A music producer sued rapper Jim Jones in New York federal court Wednesday for allegedly sampling a copyrighted song without permission.

Hip hop and R&B producer Christopher R. Liggio filed the infringement suit claiming Jones and various music companies — Entertainment One US LP, Sally Ruth Esther Inc., Universal Music Publishing, Songs of Universal Inc. and Pookietoots LLC — used his song, "Changing the Locks/Disco Rabbit," without his authorization.
