Sports Reporter Stole NFL Scouting Reports: Suit

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 2:13 PM EDT) -- National Football Scouting Inc., which researches colleges football players for many NFL teams, sued sports reporter Rob Rang on Wednesday in Washington federal court alleging he published proprietary, copyrighted information from scouting reports.

The organization's reports about players are trade secrets that belong exclusively to NFS, which provides information to 19 of the NFL's 32 teams, according to the suit.
