‘X Factor’ Pants-Dropping Stunt Spurs FCC Complaint

Law360, San Diego (September 23, 2011, 8:46 PM EDT) -- A television watchdog group fired off an indecency complaint Thursday with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission after Fox Broadcasting Co.’s singing talent competition show “The X Factor” aired an audition by a man who repeatedly dropped his pants while performing on stage.

The Parents Television Council’s complaint alleges that families were made to believe that “The X Factor” would be family-friendly programming and instead were “assaulted by graphic nudity.”
