Lindsey Rips DOJ Bid To Duck FCPA Misconduct Allegations

Law360, Washington (September 26, 2011, 6:36 PM EDT) -- Lindsey Manufacturing Co. fired back Monday at the U.S. Department of Justice's attempt to claim its mistakes in prosecuting its Foreign Corrupt Practices Act suit against the company did not qualify as misconduct, saying the DOJ had flagrantly abused its authority.

The company, President Keith Lindsey and Chief Financial Officer Steve Lee asked a California federal court in July to dismiss the case, which centers on an alleged conspiracy to win $19 million in Mexican government contracts, and set aside a jury's guilty verdicts.
