United Pilots Up In Arms Over New Procedures Deadline

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 7:50 PM EDT) -- United Air Lines Inc. pilots sued the airline Monday in New York federal court, seeking a stay of the second phase of United's merger with Continental Airlines and claiming they have not been properly trained for new flight procedures.

The United Master Executive Council of the Air Line Pilots Association claims United pilots are being required to adapt to flight operations procedures that are more similar to Continental's procedures than their own, and have not been adequately trained to make the change.
