Travel Co. Says NY Ruling Dooms AA Antitrust Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (September 27, 2011, 8:30 PM EDT) -- Sabre Holdings Corp. asked a Texas federal judge on Monday to toss an American Airlines Inc. lawsuit that accuses Sabre of monopolizing the airline booking business, citing a ruling in a New York federal court earlier this month that tossed antitrust claims leveled against the travel services provider by US Airways Group Inc.

In a three-page letter to U.S. District Judge Terry R. Means, Sabre says AA's antitrust theories aren't plausible because they accuse the travel services provider of exercising monopoly powers over its own clients....
