Ex-Crunk Employee's Action Over Solvi Sale Tossed

Law360, New York (September 27, 2011, 6:53 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday tossed a putative class action over energy drink company Crunk LLC's sale to Solvi Brands LLC, finding the former Crunk employee who brought the suit was not a shareholder as she claimed.

In his decision, U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas dismissed all of Renate Cordts-Auth's claims for a collective $500 million in damages and records of Crunk's sale to Solvi, saying he was unconvinced that she was ever a member, or shareholder, of Crunk, which he said was different...
