Kraft Buyers Lose Class Bid In Cracker False Ad Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (September 29, 2011, 5:46 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday refused to certify a nationwide class of consumers who allege Kraft Foods Inc. placed misleading labels on six of its cookie and cracker products that allegedly misrepresented the foods' wholesomeness.

U.S. District Judge George H. Wu said the proposed class, which likely would have included millions of consumers, was so overly broad that it would be impossible for a common issue of fact to predominate.
