Judge Tosses Transfer Motion, Keeps UPS Case

Law360 (June 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The wage case filed by a class of long-haul truck drivers against UPS Ground Freight Inc. has been given the green light now that a federal judge has shot down the shipper's efforts to dismiss or transfer the case.

Judge Martin J. Jenkins of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said he was unconvinced that the case would be any more convenient were it transferred to the Eastern District and pointed out that the lead plaintiff lived and worked in the Northern....
