Ex-Pfizer Employees Want Class Cert. In ERISA Suit

Law360, New York (September 30, 2011, 3:53 PM EDT) -- Former Pfizer Inc. employees on Thursday moved for class certification in a suit alleging that the pharmaceutical giant refused to pay promised severance and retirement benefits to workers laid off after its $68 billion acquisition of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Lead plaintiffs Robin Feeko, Nelida Marengo and Janet Rodgers filed a motion in Pennsylvania federal court to certify their class of 42 former employees, arguing that the suit meets the requirements for certification, including class size and commonality of their claims.
