Small Business Wants In On $1B Army Services Contract

Law360, New York (October 4, 2011, 8:54 PM EDT) -- A small business contractor asked a federal court Monday to block the U.S. Army from evaluating companies for a shared $983 million contract for support services on domestic bases, saying contracting officers had arbitrarily excluded it from bidding.

In a motion for judgment on the administrative record, Orion Technology Inc. told the U.S. Court of Federal Claims that the Army shouldn’t be able to take action on the bids until Orion is placed in the pool of offerors.
