DOD Seeks Cost Data From Canadian Contractors

Law360, New York (October 4, 2011, 6:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday proposed changing its acquisition rules to narrow an exemption that allowed the Canadian Commercial Corp., which bids out and administers DOD contracts in Canada, to avoid submitting cost or pricing data to back up its bids.

The new rule would continue to exempt the CCC from disclosing certified cost or pricing data, but it would require it to provide other, uncertified cost or pricing data. The change will allow U.S. contracting officers to better analyze whether a contract proposal...
