Animal Drug Co. Settles Unwanted Faxes Suit For $2M

Law360, Chicago (October 4, 2011, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Animal supplement maker Thomas Veterinary Drug Inc. won preliminary approval Tuesday for its $2 million deal to settle a putative class action in Illinois state court alleging it faxed advertisements for its products to thousands of unwilling recipients.

Judge Sophia H. Hall gave the settlement her initial go-ahead, bringing the drug company one step closer to resolving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act suit launched by Illinois resident Shaun Fauley on July 28.
