Alston, Bracewell Help Riverstone In Power Plant Buyup

Law360, New York (October 7, 2011, 12:06 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm Riverstone Holdings LLC said Friday it would buy seven gas-fired power generations plants for an undisclosed sum from the Morris Energy Group and would fold them into its Topaz Power Group LLC  unit for operation.

Eatontown, N.J.-based Morris Energy sold the bulk of its assets in the deal. The company currently owns nine generation facilities with a total capacity of about 900 megawatts.
