USPS Must Face Inspectors' OT Class Claims: Judge

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 3:22 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday refused to toss a wage-and-hour complaint brought against the U.S. Postal Service by a class of current and former postal inspectors, just a month before the lawsuit's scheduled trial.

U.S. District Judge James V. Selna denied the USPS’ motion for summary judgment, ruling its argument that the workers were exempt from overtime under the administrative and highly compensated exemptions of the Fair Labor Standards Act was not suitable for summary determination.
