Insurance Firm Bilked Claims Examiners Of OT Pay: Suit

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 4:27 PM EDT) -- Keenan & Associates was hit with a proposed class action in California state court on Tuesday alleging the insurance broker misclassified its claims examiners as exempt from overtime pay.

The complaint, filed by former employee Anna Marie Gentile, claims Keenan misclassified examiners as exempt from California labor laws, and gave them job titles that masked the clerical nature of the job.
