'Columbus Day' Film Co., Producer Settle Financing Row

Law360, Los Angeles (October 12, 2011, 7:38 PM EDT) -- New Century Arts SA agreed last week in a California court to settle its contract dispute with Junction Films and producer Donald Kushner over the financing of the 2008 crime drama "Columbus Day" starring actors Val Kilmer and Wilmer Valderrama.

Notice of the settlement was filed Oct. 7 putting to bed Poland-based New Century's February complaint accusing Kushner and attorney Alan Abrams of failing to supervise the sales activities of Omega Entertainment Ltd., which was tasked with selling the foreign rights to the film.
