Google Silences Buzz Social Network To Focus On Google+

Law360, New York (October 14, 2011, 6:38 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. on Friday announced the retirement of several social networking products including Google Buzz, which came under fire from consumers and the Federal Trade Commission for its alleged disregard for users' privacy preferences.

Google's vice president of products, Bradley Horowitz, said on the company's official blog that focus will shift to Google+, another social networking service that encourages users to create Circles of people and then choose to share posts with selected Circles.
