Simpson Reps Blackstone In Move To Fire Up Burger Biz

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 12:32 PM EDT) -- Blackstone Group LP said Monday it had cooked up a deal to buy Antares Restaurant Group, which has rights to the Burger King brand in New Zealand and operates 75 restaurants there, from Australian private equity firm Anchorage Capital Partners.

The New York-based private equity giant didn't disclose its purchase price but said its plans to grow the brand in New Zealand and elsewhere in the region.
