BofA Wants Quinn Emanuel Ousted From AIG's $10B Suit

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 3:25 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. sought Monday to remove Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP from representing American International Group Inc. in its $10 billion suit against BofA over mortgage-backed securities, contending a partner at the firm has confidential information about the bank.

Quinn Emanuel must be disqualified because its partner Marc Becker, who has worked on the case for AIG in New York federal court, previously helped BofA units craft a defense strategy against the same type of claims that the insurer is now pursuing, BofA...
