Dropbox Nets $250M In Funding Led By Index Ventures

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 9:06 PM EDT) -- Document storage company Dropbox Inc. announced Tuesday it had raised $250 million in funding led by technology investor Index Ventures to hire more people and make acquisitions.

Dropbox, which provides access to documents, photos and videos from any device with Internet access, said in a statement the Series B funding included new investors Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Benchmark Capital Holdings Co. LLC and Greylock Partners, and included early investors Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners.
