UniFirst Resolves OT Class Action With $2.6M Deal

Law360, New York (October 19, 2011, 1:57 PM EDT) -- UniFirst Corp. on Monday settled for $2.6 million a class action in which a former route sales representative accused the uniform and workwear supplier of failing to pay overtime wages and furnish meal periods and rest breaks as required by California law.

U.S. District Judge Anthony Battaglia signed off on an order granting final approval of the settlement pact, approving class counsel's bid for $659,317.17 in fees and expenses and greenlighting a $12,500 payment to plaintiff David Gray Taylor Jr. for his service as class representative....
