Judge Sides With Qualcomm In Trade Secrets Case

Law360, New York (January 5, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has granted wireless technology company Qualcomm’s request for a preliminary injunction against a company accused of misappropriating its trade secrets to make competing computer chips for mobile phones.

U.S. District Court Judge Rudi Brewster of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California concluded that evidence in the case shows that Maxim Integrated Products had misappropriated trade secrets contained in a confidential document that outlined Qualcomm's ideas for new cell phone chips.
