Lexus, Toyota Hit With Class Suit Over Ventilation Troubles

Law360, New York (October 19, 2011, 4:36 PM EDT) -- A proposed class action launched Monday in New Jersey federal court accuses Toyota Motor Corp. and Lexus USA of selling cars with defective HVAC evaporators that cause respiratory illnesses and extensive property damage.

Edgewater, N.J., couple David Yu and Chu-hua Kang seek to represent thousands of customers nationwide who have bought or leased Lexus RX 350s or other Lexus and Toyota vehicles with allegedly defective HVAC evaporators.
