Sutherland Global Settles OT Class Action For $4M

Law360, New York (October 20, 2011, 1:42 PM EDT) -- Outsourcing firm Sutherland Global Services Inc. on Wednesday settled a class action in New York for $4 million with a group of employees who claimed the company shorted them on overtime pay.

U.S. District Judge David G. Larimer signed off on the agreement, also certifying a class of 24,000 Sutherland sales and customer services telemarketers who accused the company of refusing to pay overtime wages by altering their time entries.
