EEOC Sues Merrill Over Muslim Analyst

Law360 (June 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has accused Merrill Lynch & Co. of discriminating against a worker and eventually firing him because he is a Muslim Iranian.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Southern New York, the commission accused the investment bank of treating Majid Borumand unlawfully.
