Bankrupt Casino Rips Committee Adviser's $1.5M Fee

Law360, Wilmington (October 21, 2011, 6:29 PM EDT) -- A Station Casinos Inc. unit balked at a $1.5 million fee request Friday from Brown Rudnick LLP and other advisers to the unsecured creditors committee in the Nevada bankruptcy, saying the amount is unreasonable considering unsecured creditors’ hopeless position.

Green Valley Ranch Gaming LLC, a Las Vegas casino subsidiary of the reorganized Station, argued in its objection that the committee’s short-lived efforts did not improve distributions to unsecured creditors in any way under the casino operator’s reorganization plan, which was confirmed in June.
