Burger King Latest To Exit Touch-Screen Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 24, 2011, 7:00 PM EDT) -- Burger King Corp. on Monday became the latest company to exit a patent-infringement suit over touch-screen technology that has ensnared dozens of companies, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., McDonald's Corp. and Time Warner Inc.

The fast-food giant and patent-holder EMG Technology LLC agreed in Texas federal court to dismiss all claims and counterclaims with prejudice. Additional settlement details were not disclosed.
