Body Armor Co. Settles Defective Vest Claims For $1M

Law360, New York (October 25, 2011, 5:39 PM EDT) -- A bankrupt body armor company whose founder was convicted of fraud agreed on Monday to pay the U.S. government $1 million to settle a False Claims Act suit over defective bulletproof vests.

Point Blank Solutions Inc. will pay the settlement out of proceeds from its proposed bankruptcy sale. The company admits no fault or liability.
