Eli Lilly Settles Suit Over Generic Prozac Suicide Risk

Law360, New York (October 25, 2011, 8:27 PM EDT) -- Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly & Co. settled a product liability suit Tuesday in California accusing the company of neglecting to alert patients of the alleged link between a generic form of Prozac and suicide.

U.S. District Judge A. Howard Matz dismissed without prejudice the case against the last remaining defendant in a suit that was moved to California federal court in 2006. The terms of the settlement were not immediately available.
