China Extends Antitrust Review Of $861M Yum Brands Buy

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 2:52 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce has extended its antitrust review of fast food giant Yum Brands Inc.'s $861 million bid to buy out shares of Hong Kong's Little Sheep Group Ltd., which owns a Mongolian-themed hot pot restaurant chain, Little Sheep said Wednesday.

Yum Brands, owner of the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains, first announced its plans to acquire Little Sheep in April, and in May the company offered HK$6.50 (US$0.83) per share to take Little Sheep private. The deal requires approval by Chinese regulators....
