US Pipe Makers Push For Duties On Asian, Mideast Imports

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 3:47 PM EDT) -- Four domestic steel pipe producers on Wednesday asked U.S. trade regulators to consider imposing anti-dumping and countervailing duties on welded steel pipe imported from India, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

Allied Tube and Conduit Corp., the JMC Steel Group, Wheatland Tube Co. and the United States Steel Corp. claim that imports from the four countries are sold in the U.S. at less than fair prices and threaten the U.S. pipe industry.
