Singapore Takes $300M Stake In Airplane Co. Avolon

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 7:31 PM EDT) -- The government of Singapore recently invested $300 million to help aircraft leasing company Avolon expand its fleet, joining Oak Hill Capital Partners and other private equity firms that hold a major stake in the startup, the company announced Thursday.

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund the Government of Singapore Investment Corp. committed $300 million in equity capital to the Dublin, Ireland-based aircraft leasing group, bringing the total equity investment since its May 2010 launch to $1.4 billion, according to Avolon’s statement.
