Fox Ads About Fee Dispute Are Misleading: DirecTV

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 6:34 PM EDT) -- A DirecTV Group Inc. executive complained to the Federal Communications Commission on Thursday about Fox Broadcasting Co. Inc., saying it is running misleading advertisements in the midst of the two companies' dispute over cable programming.

The ads tell DirecTV customers that they may soon lose their local Fox station even though the retransmission consent agreement at issue does not expire for more than two months, DirecTV executive vice president Derek Chang said in a letter to the FCC.
