USC Focuses Ire On Eye Institute Over Lease Permits

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- The University of Southern California has filed suit against the landlord of its ophthalmology center over more than $1.1 million in rental charges for a property it can't fully occupy due to lack of city permits, it said Wednesday.

USC is charging Doheny Eye Institute in California court with breach of contract and concealment, among other items, and is seeking damages, legal fees, and termination of the lease.
