Cop Reality Show Pitchman's Contract Suit Shot Down

Law360, Los Angeles (October 28, 2011, 8:04 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Friday threw out a lawsuit brought by a police instructor who claimed the production company behind television game shows “Lingo” and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” broke a promise to develop his cop-themed reality shows.

Judge Luis A. Lavin sustained Zoo Productions' motion in its entirety, nixing Michael Davis' claims that the production company reneged on a deal to enter into a written contract to produce three cop-related reality television shows.

But Davis' lawsuit is fundamentally flawed, the court said....
