'Reba' Creator Sues Fox TV Over Cut Of Profits

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 2:00 PM EDT) -- The creator and former producer of the TV show “Reba” sued News Corp.’s 20th Century Fox Television in California on Friday, accusing the production company of cheating her out of compensation for her work on the sitcom.

Allison Gibson brought the suit over the half-hour comedy, which ran from 2001 to 2007 and starred country music star Reba McEntire, claiming Fox reneged on an agreement that entitled her to a set percentage of profits from the hit series, according to the complaint.
