Developer Ends Mall Sale Fraud Suit For $10M

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 6:41 PM EDT) -- Georgia developer Cabot Creekside Acquisition LLC has reached a $10 million settlement with Chardonnay Associates LLC and several other entities involved in the allegedly fraudulent $52 million sale of a Gwinnett County shopping center, according to court documents filed Monday.

U.S. District Judge Julie E. Cornes signed a consent judgment ordering Chardonnay, Flexxon Operating Ltd., Hallye Management Inc. and the estate of Harold S. Wenal to jointly and severally pay the sum to Cabot and its subsidiary Cabot Creekside Leaseco LLC.
