SBA Procurement Goals Get Footing In Larger Contracts

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 5:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense, the General Services Administration and NASA issued an interim rule Wednesday that would allow agencies to set aside portions of large, flexible government contracts to fulfill the Small Business Administration's contracting goals.

While agencies frequently set aside contracts for offer exclusively to small or disadvantaged businesses, the Federal Acquisition Regulation had been silent on whether they could or should do the same for task orders placed under large multiple-award contracts, according to the rule.
