US To Pursue Rehearing In Iran Wire Transfer Case

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 5:33 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors told a New York federal judge Wednesday that they plan to seek a rehearing in a case against a former McKinsey & Co. consultant accused of violating the U.S. trade embargo with Iran. 

The government will request either a rehearing by the original panel or a rehearing en banc in the Second Circuit after charges against Mahmoud Reza Banki were overturned on appeal.

U.S. District Judge John F. Keenan ordered Banki's release on his own recognizance Wednesday, with no objection from the U.S. government....
