House Panel Votes To Subpoena Obama Solyndra Docs

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 12:51 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives panel voted Thursday to subpoena the White House for documents related to the U.S. Department of Energy's $535 million loan guarantee to now-bankrupt solar panel manufacturer Solyndra LLC.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee's oversight and investigations subcommittee voted 14 to 9 along party lines to authorize committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., to issue subpoenas to two senior White House staff members.
