SEC Takes On Alleged Con Man For Takeover Bids

Law360 (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed charges against a purported acquisitions firm and one of its founders for pumping up publicly traded companies' stock values by allegedly making bogus offers to acquire companies such as Sony Corp., Zapata Corp. and Playboy Enterprises Inc.
