SAIC To Monitor Data Breach Victims' Credit: DOD

Law360, New York (November 7, 2011, 6:33 PM EST) -- Tricare has ordered contractor Science Applications International Corp., which handles data for the military's health care program, to provide one year of credit monitoring to about 5 million patients whose personal information was stolen in a Texas data breach, the federal government said Friday.

Patients who might have been affected by the breach will have to sign up for the service, which will offer credit monitoring and restoration services, according to SAIC spokesman Vernon Guidry. SAIC will also analyze available data to help Tricare determine if...
